Who this is for

A company whose market has opinions nobody has bothered to measure. It works best when you already have an audience to survey, or a community you can borrow one from, and when your buyers are senior enough that being asked their view is itself flattering.

It is the strongest single asset in the catalogue for firms that need to look like the authority rather than another supplier, because the data is yours and cannot be copied by the competitor who redesigns their site next month.

What you get

  • A survey designed to produce findings worth publishing, not just answers
  • An invitation campaign to get it filled in, including the emails and the chase sequence
  • Three to five interviews with named people, quoted in the report
  • The analysis, with the findings that actually matter separated from the ones that merely exist
  • The report itself, written and fully designed: charts, layout, produced PDF
  • A landing page built to convert, with a qualifying form rather than an email box
  • Automated delivery to anyone who downloads it, and an alert to you the moment they do
  • A launch kit: social cards, a promotion sequence, and the copy to send it to your list

How it works

  1. Scoping. We agree the question the report answers and who we are asking. The question set, for sign-off
  2. Survey built, invitation sequence written and scheduled. The invite, before it sends
  3. Fieldwork. Responses come in, we chase, interviews are booked and recorded. Weekly response count
  4. Analysis and first draft. The findings, before they are designed
  5. Design, charts, layout, PDF production. First full proof
  6. Landing page, form, automated delivery, lead alerts. The live page, before launch
  7. Launch. Social, email, distribution. Downloads and who they are

What we need from you

The report slips when these are late, and it is the only thing that makes it slip.

  • A list to survey, or a decision to use ours, in week one
  • Sign-off on the question set within three working days. Everything downstream waits on this
  • Three to five interviewees introduced by name. A warm introduction from you, not a cold approach from us
  • Brand assets and permission to publish under your name
  • One named approver. Reports stall when sign-off is shared

What this is not

  • Not a campaign. The launch kit gets it out of the door. If you want a sustained programme around it, that is a Campaign Sprint and it sits on top.
  • Not the only way to get authority. This product needs an audience to survey. If you have not got a list, do not pay us to survey badly, because a finding built on eleven responses is worse than no finding. The Authority Guide at £3,500 buys the same standing from a framework and named experts, and needs nothing but five people willing to talk.
  • Not a guaranteed sample size. We will tell you in week four what the response looks like. If it is thin, we say so and we adjust, rather than publishing a percentage based on eleven people and hoping nobody checks.

Where this has worked

The Consultancy Group, Accountancy and Finance 2026. A thirty-two page market insight and salary guide built on responses from more than two and a half thousand finance leaders and qualified professionals: media, retail, consumer, technology, hospitality, property and professional services, FTSE 100 companies through to scaling SMEs and high-growth start-ups. Eight sections, salary data and day rate ranges, and a headline the profession has been circling for two years, set as a full page in the guide itself: technology is no longer the real barrier to AI in finance. Skills are.

It runs alongside an invite-only CFO roundtable series that has now met five times. Research and a room, feeding the same senior audience, is what these two products are for.

Price and terms

£5,000. Half on signature, half on delivery of the first full proof. Design and production are included. Any paid promotion is separate and at cost. One round of substantive revisions at proof stage is included; further rounds are billed at £75 an hour, quoted first.

Tell me what your marketing is supposed to be doing and what it is actually doing. If those two things match, I will say so and you can have your afternoon back.
