Who this is for
A company in a market where useful information is scattered, out of date, or locked behind people who charge for it. If you can collect something publicly available, keep it current, and present it better than anyone else bothers to, you stop being a vendor and start being infrastructure.
It is the most durable asset on this price list. A competitor can clone a website in an afternoon. They cannot clone a dataset that was refreshed this morning, because by the time they have built it, it has moved.
What you get
- A collection pipeline that gathers the data and keeps gathering it, on a schedule
- A store that holds it, versioned, so change over time becomes its own asset
- Generated pages, refreshed automatically, one per entity, so the whole thing is findable
- A public tier that is genuinely free and genuinely useful, which is what earns the traffic
- A gated tier that captures the people worth knowing about
- Monitoring, so you find out when collection breaks rather than discovering it in three weeks
How it works
- What data, from where, how often, and whether it can be collected lawfully and politely
- Pipeline, store, page generation, the public tier
- The captured tier, the form, the routing
- Indexing, monitoring, first traffic
Timelines depend entirely on the data. Scoping is a paid piece of work in its own right on anything complex.
What we need from you
- Domain knowledge. What is worth collecting, what would be trusted, and what your market already complains about not being able to find
- A view on the gate. What sits free and what sits behind the form, which is the decision that determines whether it works
- Patience. Data products compound. The first month looks quiet
- A commitment to keeping it alive. A stale data product is worse than none, because it visibly stopped
What this is not
- Not a scrape of somebody else’s site. We collect from public sources, politely, respecting what site owners ask. Anything else is a legal exposure, and not one we are willing to build into your business.
- Not a one-off. It runs, which means it needs maintaining, which means it needs a care plan. A pipeline nobody watches breaks silently.
- Not guaranteed traffic. Publishing is not the same as being found, and we will be honest about indexing rather than promising rankings.
- Not a substitute for a good site. The data brings people in. The site still has to convert them.
Price and terms
From £5,000, scoped individually because no two datasets are alike. Half on signature, half on launch. Ongoing running requires a care plan sized to the platform, and hosting and data costs are separate and at cost.
