Who this is for

A company that needs senior marketing judgement occasionally rather than permanently. You have people who can execute, or you have us, and what is missing is somebody who has done this before deciding what should happen.

It is also the honest answer when a company is weighing up a marketing hire. A senior hire is a salary, a notice period and a run-up before anybody knows whether it worked. This is available next week, costs what this page says, and stops the moment it stops being useful. If the right answer is to hire somebody, we will tell you that instead.

What you get

Whatever the day is for. Typically:

  • Board and leadership meetings, with marketing represented by somebody who can answer for it
  • Narrative development: what the company says about itself, and why anybody should care
  • Plan and budget reviews, including telling you what to stop spending on
  • Interviewing marketing hires, so you do not hire the wrong person twice
  • Whatever is actually in front of you. The day is yours

And the bench comes with it. Design, copy, strategy, film and development are available behind the day, so a decision made in the morning does not wait a fortnight for someone to build it.

How it works

Booked by the day. Take one, take one a month, take three before a board meeting. No retainer, no minimum, no notice period. If a rhythm emerges, we will suggest one, and Managed includes a standing hour every month if that is what you actually want.

What we need from you

  • A reason for the day. Vague days produce vague value. Even a rough agenda changes what a day is worth
  • The decision-maker present. The day is worth what it is worth because of who is in the room
  • Access to the numbers. Advice given without pipeline, cost and conversion data is guesswork with confidence

What this is not

  • Not execution. The day buys judgement. Building what the day decides is the bench, a sprint, or a project, quoted separately.
  • Not a retainer in disguise. No minimum. If two days a month is what you need, that is what you book.
  • Not interim management. Not running your team day to day, not in your standups, not answering your Slack between bookings.

Price and terms

£800 a day, invoiced monthly in arrears for days taken. No retainer, no minimum, no half days. Travel outside London quoted separately. Bench time is quoted separately when a day generates work.

Fifteen minutes. No deck.

Tell me what your marketing is supposed to be doing and what it is actually doing. If those two things match, I will say so and you can have your afternoon back.
